300OB

The 300OB cohort comprised 302 individuals between 55 and 82 years old with a body mass index (BMI) above 27 kg/m2.
Recruitment was conducted at Radboud University Medical Center from 2014 to 2016. Blood samples were collected in the morning after an overnight fasting.
In this cohort;
- – Demographics and health-related information
- – Lipidomics and metabolomics
- – Magnetic resonance imaging of fat tissue and its distribution
- – Vascular measurements
- – Cytokine production upon incubation with various viral, fungal and bacterial stimuli
- – Circulating mediators (AAT, hsCRP, IL-6, IL-18, leptin, resistin, adiponectin etc.)
The 300OB study was approved by the CMO Regio Arnhem-Nijmegen (NL.46846.091.13).
